the secret life of plants

I was fortunate to be invited out to Los Angeles this past week to spend some time at the Record Plant recording studio. It was pretty awesome to say the least. Like people were always bringing us stuff like fresh baked cookies and yogurt parfaits. Plus there were these really good mint chocolate candies in the bathroom, like when you go to a club and wanna take a piss and there’s a dude next to the sink with soap, cologne, and a tip jar. Except there was no dude there so I could have as many mints as I wanted and I didn’t have to tip anyone. The whole place was very similar to a nursing home except it’s for people who make songs instead of they are just old.

There were a lot of different people who make songs there. The above video is of Chris Brown, Omarion, and Kenna serving one another in a friendly manner. Chris and Omarion are seriously two of the best dancers in the entire world, no lie. I made no attempts to dance against either of them because I am not capable of setting it off in a similar capacity.

The fine folks at Capcom were nice enough to drop off two copies of Street Fighter IV for us to play. I’m not really sure why anyone would need two copies of the same video game, maybe they saw that there were two televisions and got confused.

That’s me spinning tunes. I’m probably moving very quickly, which is why there is a slight blur.

JoJo stopped by. Chad squeezed her face because she is so adorable, while JoJo pretended to choke him.

One night/morning it was like 2am and we decided to have a dance party, so I went into the adjacent live room and set up. Some of the people who showed up were Drake, Teyana Taylor, Kristinia DeBarge, Chris Brown, Omarion, and Kenna. Pitbull was there too  except he was busy down the hall making songs that girls like to dance to. I kept playing Pitbull tracks in the hopes that he would venture over but it never happened. I think that night was possibly the strangest night of my life so far. Here’s a video of our dance circle, except this was before it really popped off:

I had to snap a pic of the platinum record above because it commemorates Michael Bolton selling over five million copies of “Time, Love, & Tenderness.” How one man was able to touch so many hearts I may never know.

My last night in LA Evan and Garrett had a BBQ.

My homey Eric a/k/a Comel a/k/a Biscuit from Time Machine was there as well. His outfit made me think he was about to tell me a fable or something.

I was really tired by that point so I took a nap and when I woke up everyone had left the BBQ. Then I headed to LAX early the next day. Hopin’ to get back out there again soon! Thanks to everyone who extended their hospitality to me during my stay!
